What is the COMAND® Infotainment System?

November 27th, 2017 by

If you’re behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz model, you’ll likely have access to the COMAND® infotainment system. This system controls a variety of features, from your navigation system down to your everyday entertainment. Located on the dashboard, this tech is operated with the touchscreen or using a scroll knob. Depending on the type of Mercedes-Benz model you have, you may simply have access to COMAND® Audio, or you may have the full package known as COMAND® Online. Either way, you’ll be able to integrate your smartphone for hands-free calling, music streaming, and more.

What does COMAND® Audio do?

COMAND® Audio comes as the standard option on lower-spec Mercedes-Benz models; however, it still offers quite a bit of infotainment. For starters, this model comes with a 7-inch display that provides a clear view of the information your Old Bridge ride needs. In addition, it includes Bluetooth®, so you can make phone calls or stream music without being connected. The DAB digital radio provides plenty of entertaining options, while the satellite navigation system is also available in some models too.

What does COMAND® Online do?

For those Marlboro drivers with higher-end Mercedes-Benz models, the COMAND® Online system is a fun feature. While it includes the same features as the Audio, it does offer slightly more improvements. For instance, it includes a 9-inch touchscreen with improved graphics. For the navigation, you’ll enjoy 3D mapping, and the 10GB hard drive comes standard along with voice recognition.
